Because of the generosity of friends and alumni, the School of Nursing is excited to offer students the opportunity to receive financial support in the form of scholarships. The process to receive scholarship funds is dependent on the program in which you are enrolled.
Scholarship Application Process
Each degree program has a specific process for students to apply and potentially obtain School of Nursing scholarships. Regardless of which degree a student is pursuing, the School of Nursing requires students who wish to receive scholarships, to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A successfully submitted FAFSA application must be completed and the University of Minnesota Office of Student Finance must receive the information in order for the student to be considered for School of Nursing scholarships.
International students or students with questions or concerns about FAFSA eligibility are encouraged to contact the Office of Student and Career Advancement Services at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
External Scholarships & Funding
Students should pursue all avenues to obtain financial support to fund their nursing education. There are many opportunities in which money can be secured externally through professional organizations, non-profits, government agencies, or corporations.
Application available: Due to University of Minnesota changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the scholarship application will be available early April.
