Leaving a Nursing Legacy

Scholarship and Fellowship Support At the University of Minnesota School of Nursing

Discovery thrives at the School of Nursing, improving patient care through the power of nursing knowledge. We celebrate the pivotal contributions made by scholarships and fellowships. We congratulate the students selected to receive these special awards and thank the generous donors who make these awards possible. During the current academic year, more than $500,000 has already been awarded to deserving undergraduate and graduate nursing students.

Leaving a Nursing Legacy

As a School we continue to attract the highest quality of students who come into our programs prepared and ready to set forth on their career path. Our students are focused on preparing for leadership roles within their field, specialty practice and research areas. We extend appreciation to the donors who have created endowed scholarships and fellowships to benefit nursing students now and in the years ahead. We also thank the Heritage Society members who have made planned gifts to establish future nursing scholarships.

Endowed scholarships and fellowships provide support for students year after year, and they may be designated for BSN, Master's, DNP and PhD students. To encourage new gifts, the University has created the President's Scholarship Match and the Twenty-first Century Fellowship programs, which double the impact of gifts for new endowed scholarships and graduate fellowships.
