School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota received the 2017 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award today, a national honor recognizing US medical, dental, pharmacy, osteopathic, nursing and allied health schools that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion. The school is one of just seven schools of nursing in the country to receive the award this year.

John J. Spillane, of Wayzata, received the University of Minnesota School of Nursing’s Richard Olding Beard Award today.
