Graduates are well-prepared to enter the nursing field or pursue graduate education leading to careers in teaching, research or advanced practice nursing. 

What makes our program distinct?

Employers increasingly seek to hire graduates of four-year programs for their Registered Nurse positions.

Graduates of the BSN program are qualified to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and earn certification as public health nurses.

One Program, Two Locations

One Program, Two Locations

The program is located both in the Twin Cities and Rochester.

  • Rochester: Students who transfer into the BSN program will be located in Rochester on the University of Minnesota-Rochester campus.
  • Twin Cities: Students who begin as part of the Freshman Nursing Guarantee program will be located on the Twin Cities campus.
