Course Description:

This is an online course to explore patient empowerment, engagement, and activation through the use of health information technology. Participants identify a project in their own organization and develop an action plan to engage patients in accessing their health information for participating more fully with their health care providers.

Target Audience:

Healthcare team members interested in learning to plan for and implement supportive actions for patient engagement and activation through the use of health information technology (IT).

This course has been awarded 12.0 ANCC contact hours.

Other Health Professionals: It is the responsibility of each participant to determine if the program meets the criteria for re-licensure or re-certification for their discipline.   • Complete each module evaluation.
  • Complete and submit the following course assignments

    • Project Timeline
    • SBAR Project
  • Complete the online course evaluation.
