Pechacek receives Award for Excellence

Clinical Professor Judith Pechacek, DNP, RN, CENP, was a recipient of the Award for Excellence in Academic Unit Service from the University of Minnesota. This is the inaugural year of the Awards for Academic Unit Service.
These awards recognize faculty for exceptional service that has strengthened the functioning and climate of a local unit or department. These awards serve to emphasize and elevate the importance of this type of service to the University’s success.
Pechacek is an innovative educator, scholar and academic program leader with a sustained national impact on education specific to executive leadership, quality, safety and interprofessional practice. As the assistant dean of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, she leveraged innovative quality improvement initiatives, teaching strategies and faculty support to elevate the DNP program to No.6 in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report, Best Nursing Schools.
