Audrey Windemuth Nursing Scholarship
Audrey Windemuth Nursing Scholarship
Created by the late Audrey Windemuth ('39 BSN & '59 MS in Nursing Administration), this scholarship gives preference to undergraduates from North Dakota. Born in Langdon, North Dakota, Windemuth was cited in the 1968 edition of Who's Who of American Women. She served as Assistant Director of Nursing Services at the U of MN Hospital under Katharine J. Densford. Her 1957 textbook, "The Nurse and the Outpatient Department," with forward by Densford, became a valuable guide for many nurses. In 1959, Ms. Windemuth became director of nursing for a new hospital at the University of West Virginia. Awarded by the Densford Center.

Cecilia Hauge Memorial Scholarship
Cecilia Hauge Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1990 by family and friends of the late Cecilia Hauge ('29 BSN). After serving as Superintendent of Nursing at University Hospital, Ms. Hauge became chief of nursing in the European Theater of Operations during WWII. As a Lieutenant Colonel, she was awarded the Bronze Star and later became national director of the V.A. Nursing Services in Washington D.C. She received the University of Minnesota's Outstanding Achievement Award in 1957. The Scholarship supports students with financial need who demonstrate potential for leadership and professional achievement.
