From I-35W: Coming from the north, take the 4th St. SE exit (last exit before the river, #18) and come straight up the ramp. At the stop sign, make a left onto Pillsbury Dr./Union St. SE and follow around for about .3 mile. Just before Washington Ave. will be the Washington Ave. parking ramp on your left.
Coming from the south, exit on Washington Ave., #17C (3rd St./MN-122). Merge onto MN-122 East toward the University’s East Bank, going over the Washington Avenue Bridge and into the campus via Washington Ave. Continue a few more blocks to Harvard St. SE. You will see the Washington Avenue ramp on your left; turn left on Harvard St. and follow the one-way street (two more lefts) around the ramp to the main entrance.
From Highway 94: Take the Huron Street exit and head north on Huron a few blocks to Washington Avenue. Take a left (going west) and after a couple of blocks you will come to Harvard St., with the Radisson and then the Washington Avenue ramp on your right. About our space
The Densford Center, created to carry on the legacy of its namesake, Katharine Densford, is located on the 4th floor of Weaver-Densford Hall, as part of the School of Nursing's Twin Cities campus. It provides an inspiring physical space for the activities of the Center, the School, and other nursing groups.
Designed to recreate the ambiance of Powell Hall, home to the School of Nursing from 1932 until its demolition in 1981, the Center includes a number of architectural details and furnishings from that period. Renovation of the Center was funded by the generous donations of alumni, colleagues and students of Katharine Densford. The Lillehei family, in particular, has provided significant support in this process.
Within the Center is the Rahr Board Room, developed with funds donated by the Rahr Foundation. This conference room provides a gracious setting for meetings of up to 12 people.
