Summary

Susan O’Conner-Von, PhD, RN-BC, CNE Associate Professor in the School of Nursing, and Director of Graduate Studies, Center for Spirituality and Healing (CSH). She has vast experience as a practicing nurse specializing in pediatric pain management, intensive care, palliative care, and hospice care. She is a nationally recognized nurse educator, researcher and leader in her field. She inspires students to go above and beyond technologically and humanly for each and every patient and realize what a gift it is to care for these patients, and they have shaped her into the nurse educator she is today. She calms patients with her use of dogs with patients in hospice therapy, even using her own dogs.
