Welcome, Preceptors!
Welcome to the new University of Minnesota School of Nursing's Web site for preceptor education and clinical teaching! The goal of this site is to offer our preceptors opportunities to learn more about clinical teaching, as well as to share ideas about the joys and challenges of learning in the clinical environment.
General Preceptor Orientation
This includes an overview of roles and responsibilities, helpful hints for clinical teaching and problem solving techniques. In the near future, we hope to have links directly to specific courses or Areas of Study that would allow you to access to documents that would support your experience.
Evaluation in Nursing Education
This is a 10 clock hour or 12 contact hour (CE) course that fulfills the requirement of the Minnesota Board of Nursing for faculty and preceptors. This course gives information on how to evaluate nursing students both in lecture and clinical classes. To register for this course, click here.
