The following links are for 3 resource/fact sheets regarding what Emergency Dept (ED) staff would need to do in the first hour or so after a patient shows up as a victim of a Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD) or with Acute Radiological Syndrome (ARS). The RDD and ARS fact sheets were developed by MERET based on federal sources. The Radiation Victim Treatment algorithm was developed by the Radiation Emergency Assistance Center/Training Site (REAC/TS) with minor adaptations by MERET. Key guidance was provided by John Hick, MD, and the 55th Civil Support Team.
