Addressing School-age Obesity
School of Nursing receives $3 million NIH grant to study what school nurses can do to help curb obesity in school children.

Record 450 Attend Nursing Research Day 2013
Speaking about her research on improving quality of care during patient transitions, keynote speaker for Nursing Research Day, Kathryn Bowles, PhD, RN professor and endowed chair in gerontological nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing spoke about new ways to apply decision science and information technology to improve care.

Associate Professor Renee Sieving, PhD, MSN, RN, was featured AHC's Health Talk blog for an article she was the lead author of for the journal Prevention Science. The study's findings demonstrate that teen girls at high risk for pregnancy reported being significantly less likely to engage in social bullying after participating in an 18-month preventive intervention program.
