Minnesota Continence Associates

Urinary incontinence affects one in four women. Even though it diminishes their health, functioning and quality of life, many don't report it. Some consider it a normal part of aging; others are embarrassed, unaware of treatment options or fear they will have to have surgery The reality is that most women with incontinence and other bladder dysfunctions can be helped significantly by the simple non-surgical treatments Minnesota Continence Associates designs to meet their personal needs and preferences.

Hearing Protection Study

A University of Minnesota research team led by Madeleine Kerr, PhD is performing research in the area of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), which is the most common occupational disease in the United States. University of Michigan researchers provide ongoing consultation. The purpose of the project is to identify an effective intervention to increase construction workers' use of hearing protection devices (HPDs).

Indian Family Stories Project

The goal of the Indian Family Stories Project has been to listen and learn from families who care for American Indian children with special health care needs in order to improve the quality of health care they receive. Based on families' stories, we have worked in partnership with families, communities and health care providers to improve care and develop culturally relevant resources for American Indian children and their families.
