Membership:

Already a member? Need information regarding renewal, transfer to Zeta chapter, or anything else related to your membership? Please visit the membership page of the Sigma Theta Tau International website or contact us with any specific questions.

Want to be a member of Zeta Chapter? Please review the membership criteria outlined below.

If you are a student, please contact the Faculty Counselor (see Meet the Board for contact information).

If you are a community nurse leader, please visit the Sigma Theta Tau International website, click the membership link, and open, complete, and submit the application form to International. Your information will be forwarded to our board for review and if approved, an invitation of membership will be extended. We look forward to having you join us!

Membership Criteria:

Undergraduate students must:

  • have completed at least one-half of the required nursing curriculum;
  • have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 grading scale);
  • rank in the upper 35th percentile of the graduating class;
  • meet the expectation of academic integrity.

Graduate students (Master's and Doctorate) must:

  • have completed a minimum of one-quarter of the required nursing curriculum;
  • have at least a GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 grading scale);

Nurse Leaders must:

  • be a registered nurse, legally recognized to practice in his/her country;
  • hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing or other field;
  • have demonstrated achievement in nursing.
  • Submit two reference letters, preferably one from a STTI member (not necessarily a Zeta member), with the application
