Included in this module is a description of several clinical teaching tools: situational leadership, the circle of safety, the 5-step microskills model, and the constructive feedback sandwich. In this audio segment I will be providing a more in depth discussion of the first of these tools, situational leadership. We have found this model to be especially useful in understanding the relationship between the studentØs developmental level and the leadership style of the preceptor.
