Graduate assistants are paid at an hourly rate and receive tuition coverage at a rate double the percentage of appointment (e.g., if appointed 25%, 50% of the tuition is covered). A health care benefit package is provided on the same basis as the tuition benefit. TA and RA positions are posted in 6-138 Weaver-Densford Hall (and on the University of Minnesota's Web site) and become available throughout the academic year. Please contact the School of Nursing Office of Student Services for application materials.

Scholarships

The School of Nursing Foundation awards annual scholarships to nursing students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Awards are made using various criteria such as grade point average, areas of research and practice interest, leadership potential and financial need. Application materials for scholarships for the coming year are available each Spring Semester in the Office of Student Services. These awards are distributed to students during Fall Semester only and are given as direct credit to the nursing student's university account.
