GRE Test Scores

You must take the version of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with the new writing analytic test. Scores can be no older than December 1, 2003 to be considered, and official documentation must be submitted by the December 15 deadline. Over the past five years, successful applicants typically have had a combined verbal and quantitative score of 1100 and an analytic writing score of 5.0. For more information about the GRE, visit http://www.gre.org or call 609-771-7670.

If you live in the Twin Cities, the computer-based GRE is given year-round at the University of Minnesota in Eddy Hall. To register and schedule, you may call 612-624-5520 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. You must call at least seven days in advance to reserve a date, and it is subject to availability. Remember to plan ahead and take the GRE early. For more information visit http://www.ucs.umn.edu/testing or call 612-624-5520.
