Carol O'Boyle to Serve on HICPAC

Carol O'Boyle, Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, has been appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Health to serve on the Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC). This 14-member committee provides advice and guidance on infection control in healthcare settings to the Secretary, the Directors of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for for Infections Diseases, and Division of Health Care Quality Promotion. The committee meets in Atlanta; the next meeting is October 27 and 28.
