Applications are reviewed each spring and decisions are made by the end of the Spring Semester for the following year. Scholarships may be available for students beginning in the middle of the year.

The NNCOP application requires that you submit two letters of recommendation and your official transcripts for any undergraduate and Masters level coursework completed.

Applications for the NNCOP Scholarship are mailed to students once the NNCOP office is notified of their acceptance into the School of Nursing Masters of Science in Nursing program.

In order to apply to the University of Minnesota - School of Nursing Masters of Science in Nursing program:

Once you have submitted both applications:

  • Notify NNCOP of your UMN-SON application submission and we will gladly track your application through the review process.

Once you receive notice of your admission status:

  • Notify NNCOP of your admission status and a NNCOP Scholarship Application will be sent to you if you are admitted.
  • Fill out the NNCOP Scholarship Application and send the original application and supplementary documents via mail to the NNCOP office by the deadline.
  • NNCOP Scholarship Committee decisions will be mailed to all NNCOP scholarship applicants.
