Deadlines and Eligibility

Admission Deadlines for 2008

Students are admitted either summer or fall semester to the Graduate School. Complete applications must be received in the Office of Student & Career Advancement Services by 4:30 p.m. on the deadlines listed below. This includes all letters of recommendation and transcripts. We urge you to submit your application well in advance of the deadline to allow for delays in mailing and timely processing of materials. (Note: School of Nursing deadlines are earlier than Graduate School deadlines.)

Eligibility for Select Areas

GNP requires one year of work experience with elders. FNP, PNP, PCNS, WHCNP, and PCNS require at least one year of clinical experience, preferably with the population in the anticipated area of practice. NMW strongly recommends one year of clinical experience, preferably in labor and delivery. CSHCN prefers applicants to have one year of experience working with children and families, and to have demonstrated leadership potential. PMHCNS does not require experience, but strongly encourages applicants to have current psychiatric nursing experience. NA requires at least one year of critical care nursing experience, with Adult Surgical Intensive Care or Medical Intensive Care experience preferred.
