Nurse-Midwifery: Faculty

Faculty at the University of Minnesota believe that learning is best achieved in a supportive environment that provides opportunities for inquiry, practice, and interpersonal exchanges. Faculty share a commitment to the preparation of nurse-midwives who concentrate their efforts on the study of perinatal and women's health care.

The faculty strives to provide educational opportunities that are interdisciplinary and cross-cultural. Educational goals focus on the development of an understanding and awareness of the unique issues in the health care of women, their children, and their families.

The Nurse-Midwifery faculty is qualified nurse educators who teach as well as participate in practice in a variety of settings with diverse populations. All are Ph.D. or Masters prepared and certified in their specialty area.
