Office of Academic Programs

The Office of Academic Programs (OAP) at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing led by the Associate Dean for Academic Programs (ADAP) provides resources and support for the programs offered within the school. These include:

• Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing program (BSN) offered in the Twin Cities with an additional site in Rochester, Minnesota.
• Master of Nursing (MN) for students entering after having completed a baccalaureate in another field.
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program
• Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with options for entry at the post-MS or post-baccalaureate levels.

There are five staff members including one in Rochester, four program directors, and collaborative relationships with several other offices in the school including the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Student and Career Advancement Services. The staff serves over 800 students in the school as well as offers support and guidance to program directors and to faculty members. The office is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating all programs, addressing accreditation criteria from numerous professional agencies and for tracking processes to support the achievement of the school's education mission and strategic plan initiatives.
