Arlene Horner PictureArlene Horner, MS,RN,GCNS-BC is a Gerontological Clinical Nurse Specialist at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Her DNP project has an integrative health focus with the implementation of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for elders in acute care.


Naheed Meghani PictureNaheed Meghani, MSN, RN is an Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist where she has had an experience working with older patients. Bringing best of practice evidence to older patients around delirium, falls, incontinence, wound healing etc. provided her a better insight and understanding of geriatric patients’ health care needs. Her PhD dissertation focus will be to generate an understanding of the decisions and trade- offs that older adults employ, when cost of medications is an underlying concern in using prescribed medications.


Naira Zargarian PictureNaira Zargarian, MSN, RN, FNP enters the PhD program with many years of experience in different areas of nursing. Currently, she is working as a nurse practitioner at Total Care Clinic. Her scholarly and clinical interests include patients with chronic kidney and heart failure. She is concerned about the shortage of nurse faculty, and is determined to dedicate the next part of her career to teaching at the university level.
