Faculty
Faculty at the University of Minnesota believe that learning is best achieved in a supportive environment which provides opportunities for inquiry, practice, and interpersonal exchanges. Faculty share a commitment to the preparation of advanced practice nurses who concentrate their efforts on the study of perinatal and women's health care.
The faculty strive to provide educational opportunities that are inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural. Educational goals focus on the development of an understanding and awareness of the unique issues in the health care of women, their children and their families.
The AWHNP faculty are qualified nurse educators who teach as well as participate in practice in a variety of settings with diverse populations. All are Ph.D. or Master's prepared and certified in their specialty area.
