“Developing a Program of Research: Building Knowledge on Patient Adherence”

Purpose & Objective

Faculty, students and community partners will present findings from research studies and evidence-based clinical innovations and discuss implications for practice and policy. After attending, participants will be able to describe major research initiatives in the health care community, the Centers for Gerontological Nursing, Child and Family Health Promotion Research, Health Trajectory Research, and the Densford Center Clinical Scholars Program. They will be able to describe how findings can be used to optimize health outcomes for individuals, families, communities and populations.

Who Should Attend

Research Day is targeted for researchers in nursing and related health sciences, nurse educators, nursing students and practicing nurses who are committed to advancing science as the foundation for practice.

Continuing Education

This program is designed to meet Minnesota Board of Nursing criteria for continuing education required for licensure renewal providing 4.8 contact hours.

Contact hours have been applied for through the Wisconsin Nurses Association Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation for 4 contact hours.
