Welcome Continuing Professional Development is an ANCC-accredited provider of lifelong learning that meets the educational needs of registered nurses nationally and internationally. It is rooted in the excellence of the School's tri-part mission of research, education and service. The mix includes on-line courses and modules, events, partnerships, and collaboration with interprofessional networks and healthcare systems.
Courses & Programs American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) Modules The recently fully updated nursing informatics course is directed to both a generic overview of nursing and health informatics and the specific application of information and communication technologies in the clinical area. Telehealth Nurse Presenter Sponsored by the Great Plains Telehealth Resource and Assistance Center (TRAC), this online course gives essential knowledge about the role of the telehealth nurse presenter. QSEN Informatics Deep Dive - more information to come Children with Special Health Care Needs The Center for Children with Special Health Care Needs offers a range of cutting edge topics, at no cost, based upon funding by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Dept. of Health and Human services. MN Organization of Leaders in Nursing A continuing co-provider with the School of Nursing and the Office of Practice, Partnerships and Professional Development, MOLN will hold its bi-annual conference, attended by 200 nurse leaders, on March 15-16. School of Nursing Research Day Nursing Research Day 2012, "Transforming Health through Community Engaged Research and Practice," will be held on Friday, April 27th, and feature keynote Antonia M. Villarruek, PhD, FAAN, Associate Dean for Research and Global Affairs, University of Michigan School of Nursing. MERET: Minnesota Emergency Readiness Education and Training MERET modules contribute to the preparation of the healthcare workforce through comprehensive competency-based modular education and training.
