The Scientific Advisory Committee members are:

Nancy Eustis, PhD (Professor, Hubert H. Humphrey Institute, University of Minnesota) has expertise in policy, infrastructure, and long-term services related to persons with disabilities, particularly the elderly.

Margaret Grey, DrPH, RN, FAAN (Dean and Annie Goodrich Professor, Yale School of Nursing, New Haven, CT) is known for her work on prevention and adaptation to chronic illness, especially diabetes, in children, adolescents and their families, as well as for development of behavioral interventions that improve control of diabetes and the quality of life in young people.

Hal Grotevant, PhD (Professor, Family Social Science, University of Minnesota) is a leader in processes of development, particularly among adolescents and persons who are adopted.

Robert L. Kane, MD (Minnesota Chair in Long-Term Care and Aging, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota) has made significant contributions to public policy, funding and the organization of interventions and services designed to promote well being in chronically ill elders.

Marcia Killien, RN, PhD, FAAN (Professor, Family and Child Nursing, University of Washington, Seattle, WA) has garnered expertise in environmental factors, decision-making, and coping mechanisms in the work and family lives of women.

Michelle Kimball (Executive Director, American Association of Retired Persons, Minnesota Chapter) is a leader in public policy and advocacy related to issues of older citizens.

Russell V. Luepker, MD, MS (Professor and Division Head, Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota) is known for his contributions to the areas of cardiovascular disease, epidemiology and prevention, including community-wide efforts to reduce cardiovascular risk in the general population, high-risk groups and youth.

Geraldine Padilla, PhD (Associate Dean for Research, School of Nursing, University of California, San Francisco) is an expert in psychosocial predictors of distress/quality of life and nursing care interventions in chronic disease, such as HIV/AIDS.
