This tool is available from the John A. Hartford Institute of Geriatric Nursing and Alzheimer's Association's "Try This" series. This is a Geriatric Version of the Short Michigan Alcoholism Screening Instrument. Its aim is to identify older adults whose drinking levels put them at risk for developing negative outcomes related to alcohol consumption.
