The authors provide a multitude of information and approaches to preventing and managing wandering is hospitalized older adults. Topics include identifying risk factors for wandering, providing appropriate supervision to patients at risk, reducing environmental triggers for wandering, nursing interventions that may be helpful, and information on developing protocols for finding patients that may be lost inside or outside of the hospital.
