Developing a Comprehensive Staffing Program
Long-Term Care Nursing Leadership and Management
Developing a Comprehensive Staffing Program
What does the word "staffing" mean to you?
Does it mean having enough nursing staff on a daily basis? Such as: "The
staffing on Unit 1 is good today."
Does
it mean that there aren't enough workers to hire for vacant positions?
Such as: "Staffing is a big problem in our facility - we
have so few applicants applying for jobs."
Is
it defined by pre-established staffing ratios? Such as: "Staffing
on the evening shift is 40 residents to 1 licensed nurse and 10
residents to 1 nursing assistant."
This 5-lesson
course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the components
of a Framework for Nurse Staffing
in Long-term Care Facilities. It will also enable you to develop
a staffing program for your nursing facility using the Framework.
Take a self-assessment survey that will demonstrate how
