Continuing Education
The Center focuses on developing nursing leaders in the care of children and families and provides continuing education and faculty development opportunities. Participants are exposed to cutting-edge knowledge delivered in various modalities including several online courses. Web-Based Continuing Education Modules Continuing Education Objective Our objective is to provide self-paced learning modules on clinical and leadership topics to maternal and child health nursing leaders and other maternal child health related professionals. Target Audience Pediatric nurses, health care professionals, educators, and students dedicated to improving the quality of care and systems of care for children and youth, who are seeking to fulfill contact hour requirements in an accessible and convenient format. System requirements To complete these modules, your web browser should support streaming video. Internet Explorer version 7 or higher, or Firefox version 2.0 or higher is sufficient. Learning Methods These web-based instructional modules were created using Flash technology. Features include graphics, interactive questions, hyperlinks, video and narration. Requirements for Successful Completion and Certificate To obtain your certificate of completion: - Watch the module presentation; read the assigned articles, text or website as required.
- Complete the module evaluation.
Following the successful completion of the learning module and module evaluation, a Certificate of Completion will be emailed to you. At the end of the evaluation, please press submit to send your evaluation and print out your certificate. Accreditation Statements: University of Minnesota School of Nursing, Office of Practice, Business and Professional Development is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Each module is assigned contact hours based on the content and completed evaluation. ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) accredited contact hours are accepted by all State Boards of Nursing. Other Healthcare ProvidersIt is the responsibility of each participant to determine if the program meets the criteria for licensure or recertification for their discipline. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.
