Nursing Alumni Society

Named as the "Outstanding Alumni Society of the Year" at the University of Minnesota in 2006, the Nursing Alumni Society provides opportunities for involvement and input that connect nursing alumni and students. All alumni are invited to become members. Last year, several creative and informative endeavors were launched by the Nursing Alumni Society:

• Repackaging of the Nursing Alumni Spring Celebration and Reunion from a one day, stand alone event to a weekend of University-based activities for alumni to attend.
• "Put Your Best Foot Forward Day" was launched to engage students and provide a breath of fresh air for junior BSN students during the stress-filled time of finals.
• A "Speed Mentoring" event for Post Baccalaureate students enabled them to network with a wide variety of alumni in one evening and exposed them to an array of nursing specialty areas.
• The Distinguished Alumni Humanitarian Award was created by the Alumni Society to enhance the recognition of outstanding alumni.

New graduates receive a one-year free membership in the U of M Alumni Association (UMAA). Become a member and connect with alumni across the nation using M Alumni Online. With every new member, the School of Nursing Alumni Society is able to offer more programs and services in support of the school and its students.
