  • Established in 1909, the School of Nursing is distinct in being the first continuing nursing program on a university campus. We are proud of our history; it inspires our future.

The first program leading to a baccalaureate degree began in 1919. A master's degree program was first offered by the School of Nursing in 1950 and through the Graduate School beginning in 1962. The Ph.D. program was launched in 1983. Today we have the largest graduate program at the University of Minnesota--with numerous areas of study--and a flagship baccalaureate program with an honors program option.

The School has two campuses, one in the Twin Cities and the other in Rochester.

    Welcome to our school!
